Going to Stake Conference.
Visiting Great grandma Vesa afterward.
The boys showing off their artwork- painted fridge magnets. They really liked doing that.We also peeled apples which was really fun because we used the apple peeler and Bridger and Tymber took turns doing that. We made apple pies. Picking the apples was fun too because the boys could reach them and they were sweet so they had to sample several. They were great help!
Colter helped me dig carrots. He struggled over clods in the garden but was very interested in getting a carrot. He wanted to stay with me. He never 'said' anything but he acted proud as we carried them in the house.:) I loved having them all with me for 5 days. I remembered how mcuh work it is and my hat goes off to Robyn and Marcie with their little ones. Even Evan said "You did a lot of work when you were a mother!" LOL
Harvesting our garden
I am tryiing to create a new post. We buried freezers for our root cellar. Sure hope it works out. Then we made a giant "pillow" out of a tarp and grass clippings to insulate the top. We didn't have the suggested straw bales and no easy access. then we cover it more with an old blanket and another tarp. they are full of carrots, cabbage and squash. We store the potatoes in a bin in the cool room.
